A new year at Wine Country Rug Hookers!

This is the post excerpt.

An ATHA Chapter, Wine Country Rug Hookers guild was started in March 1996 in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco, CA.  We enjoy getting together and sharing our love of traditional rug hooking; a fiber art that is creative, forgivable, colourful and can involve recycled materials… or not.  It’s a choice to use beautiful hand-dyed wools or recycled materials from friends, family or the thrift shop!

We are very active in bringing in teachers for workshops, retreating on the Sonoma County coast and hosting a Biennial Harvest Hook-in.  We meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month, except August. Leave a message if you would like to join us and see what we’re up to.

Great time at the 2018 Wine Country Harvest Hook-in!

We had another great Hook-in and enjoyed seeing friends from far and wide. The rug show and technique projects were fun while the silent auction table was busy!     Outside, a congenial couple offering scissor sharpening… they were busy too!  and the food was delicious as usual!

As it is a popular gathering and important  in support of the art of rug hooking… Yes! We’ll do it again!

Keep in touch!
